GIS / FM CONTRACT AWARD

GIS / FM SYSTEM USES WEB BROWSERS, AND IS BASED ON AUTODESK AND ORACLE PRODUCTS. Jackson (January 11, 2000) Kelar has been awarded two separate contracts by Boston (Massport) and Los Angeles (LAWA) Airport authorities to design and implement Web-based Lease Management systems. The contracts total to over $2.2 million.
Kelar's system uses Web browsers as the user interface. Thus for the majority of the users no applications software is required.
The queries to the system are via the standard Structured Query Language (SQL) commands which are implemented via very simple user-driven menus and choices.
The user screens are either aerial photos or CAD engineering drawings which act as familiar menus to access and work with the system.
The system is considered a breakthrough in its simple and intuitive user interfaces, as well as practicality of application.
