ABOUT US:

Kelar Corporation, established in 1982, is an Information Technology company, with offices in California and New York. The Company generates over $8 million annually with 30 people; and has done business in 29 countries. Kelar is involved in Accounting, CAD, Estimating, GIS, Project Management, and Software Development. Kelar represents Autodesk, GTCO, HP, Meridian, Microsoft, and Sage. The company conducts sales, training, implementation, and consulting.

Kelar is expanding with a goal of starting an operation in Tajikistan. We are looking for an energetic all-around person to help with expected growth in Central Asia. The job location is Los Angeles, California. For the “right” person, there is great potential for advancement, with increased responsibility and compensation.

ABOUT THIS JOB:

As a general office Adm. Asst. you will be assisting our C.E.O. and General Manager. While helping us in California, you will learn about our business. Then help in upcoming startup operations in Tajikistan. You will be involved in many aspects of our business.

Duties include general clerical work. You will also project a professional company image through in-person, written, and phone interaction. Training will be provided when necessary.

1. Meet and greet clients and visitors.

2. Setup and coordinate meetings and conferences.

3. Create and modify documents using Microsoft Office.

4. Perform general clerical duties to include but not limited to: photocopying, faxing, mailing, filing, and answering/redirecting corporate calls.

5. Follow-up matters on behalf of top management of the company.

6. Travel Arrangements

7. Maintain electronic filing system and contact databases

8. Assist with website maintenance.

9. Assist in various project-specific tasks.

10. Research topics as assigned. Extensive research!

11. Sales: Assist with cold calls to generate new business.

12. Sales: Contact prospects for training classes.

13. Assist with student registrations of our professional classes.

14. Assist in Business Development.

15. Marketing: Assist with public relations, website, newsletters, periodic mailings, etc.

16. Assist in preparation of bids and proposals (important!)

17. Assist in preparation of Agreements, Contracts, and application forms

18. Add, and maintain company membership in professional associations.

19. Business communications between N. America and Europe/Asia.

20. Learn multitude of software programs

21. Order products from vendors

22. Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:  

• Excellent written, verbal communications, and “people” skills.

• Articulate. Friendly. Professional. • Dual (Tajik/U.S.) citizenship or similar preferred

• Languages:

o Fluent English: spoken, and written.

o Persian/Tajiki

o Russian important, but not required.

• University Degree highly preferred.

• Technology-oriented person will be a plus.

SKILLS: 

Microsoft office: Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Powerpoint, Email

Contact Management or CRM software.

Knowledge of computer systems  

WORKING CONDITIONS: 

Locations: Los Angeles. Near LAX Airport 

Working hours: Due to 12-hour time difference between California and Tajikistan, you may have to work non-standard hours. Must be flexible with working hours. This is not a 9-5 job.
